Our Girl Scout campers range in age from 3 to 18. Our youngest campers are Pixies and Sprouts – these campers are the young children of our camp volunteer staff, and have their own activities and units.
Our placement of Girl Scout-age campers follows their Scout levels. We typically place girls who are the same grade in the same units.
Girl Scout Daisies are girls who are rising kindergarteners and 1st graders.
Girl Scout Brownies are rising 2nd graders and 3rd graders.
Girl Scout Juniors are rising 4th graders and 5th graders.
Rising 6th graders are Trailblazers at Lilburn Day Camp. In addition to camptivities, they participate in field trips and activities that will earn them their trailblazer badge.
Rising 7th graders enter our Camp Aide Training program, where they learn leadership skills, including conflict management, activity leadership, and time management skills that will help them enter the Camp Aide program the following year.
Rising 8th graders through those who have just graduated are invited to work at camp as a Camp Aide. They work as unit assistants or help with camptivities and programming while developing leadership skills.
